Aymavilles castle

Aymavilles castle has a suggestive look . The first information we have about the fief and the castle date back to 1278 , when the castle was only a quadrangular tower , surrounded by a wall . Then , were built the four angular towers and a battlement with loopholes , as well as a double castle wall provided with a moat and a drawbridge . In 1882 the castle was bought by senator Bombrini and in 1970 it was sold to the regional administration . In 2000 important restoration work were carried out .
