| Arvier is
a small village situated in the high part of Aosta Valley, at the entrance
to the Valgrisenche, along the main road which links Aosta to Courmayeur.
From the motorway A5 Turin-Aosta, you can exit at Aymavilles and take
the main road 26, towards Courmayeur. The commune has got about 800 inhabitants
and extends on a territory of 33.35 km². |
The services offered by the commune are: a library, a chemist's, a bank, a consulting-room, a post office, a multi-purpose hall for shows and manifestations, a microcommunity for old people and a nursery and primary school. |

| Here are organized some fairs such as the " Fiha de Mitzoten" in July, the "Grape Harvesting" and the "Veillà" on 30th December where the ancient jobs are represented. | The village is positioned in a sunny zone which permits the cultivation of vineyards which produce grapes for the famous "de L'Enfer" red wine. | ||||

| The village has important
ruins of a 13th century castle, a Roman bell-tower and some chapels. In 1470 was built a hospice for
travellers whose remains are still visible in the hamlet of Leverogne. |
